The Hiatus
Hi all and for anyone that has been or tried to follow this short and uniterseting blog I am sorry. I have not been very good at keeping up with this. I would say that 5months away would prove that. Since that time I still believe it or not bought new shoes. The treadmill has also broke, and have been transferred for work. My son has also kept me fairly busy, so the training has actually not been to successful. In about one month I have a the 13 relay race from Boston to Cape Cod 185 miles over the course of 24 hrs with 12 others. I am looking forward to this fun time but I am scared. I have only been running about once a week, I need to find the time. Will hopefully be posting more often now. To all those that are out there running train safe.

November 8 2010
So today was the beginning of the long journey to October 16,2011. I did the first running the mileage buildup stage. This week I run run only a total of 14 miles. There will be four days of running 3 of rest. 2 Days at 3 miles and 2 at 4 miles, there is always a rest day in between runs. Of course my diet still sucks. I am using a plan put together by marathontraining.com. So just a quick thanks to them. I still need new shoes, some day I will find the time, but for now my shoes are still in decent shape. Till next time folks...

November 2 Day after registration
Really is sinking in what an undertaking this will be. So much more involved than running a 5k or even a half marathon for that matter. There is some work to be done. I need to plan nutrition, diet, and replenishment during the run, as well as the normal training. This should be fun. I am going to be doing some research online for some hints on marathons, I bet the Y has somegood info too. If you have ever done a marathon please feel free to give me some pointers. Well it is off to the mall and sports store got to get some better shoes.
